Shifting Characteristics questions

Hello-

I am wondering what will help the 986 shift more smoothly. Clutch is great shifting is not terrible, but I know it can be improved.

I am currently looking at: Front motor mount replacement and short shifter, and I have also read the 987 unit can be installed for a better feel.

What is the best feeling setup for shifting 986?

thanks-

Kyle

edit: this is of course for Porsche approved spirited driving no track.
