Qwik Valve?

Hi,

I did a search but came up empty on this subject.

Has anyone here ever used these, and if so were there any major cons to it?

Does anyone see any potential cons to using one that might outweigh the pros of a quicker and less messy oil change?

They make a standard version and an 'N' version that has a nipple. I am leaning towards the N version so I could simply run a tube to my drain pan and remove the potential of oil splashing but wonder about the extra extension being a drag hazard.

DO NOT DO THIS! The car is already very close to the ground, these things hang down further and can easily be knocked off. instantly draining your oil................

I kind of thought that, but was hoping I was just wrong that it would hang too low, thanks for the confirmation JFP.

I had a similar drain on wife's former Grand Cherokee that did not cost ground clearance. Has a brass cap you removed and attached the drain tube. Don't remember who made it but a major company, maybe K&N or an oil company? Bought at Advance Auto.

I have not considered it for the Box cuz I use the LNE magnetic plug.
