Pitted Windshield

05 Box S has what appears to be very small pits in entire windshield. Bought w/24,000 miles. Only visible in certain light. Any methods for removal besides replacement. Thanks, DEW.

I had the same issue on mine. Finally replaced it and got a good deal through safelite on a pinkerton aftermarket windshield. $450

Just did an "instant quote" through the Safelite website. $290 installed. Can that be correct?

Same issue, but the body is double mint , funny how that works...

I sure hope it is! That would be great news. Call them to double-check it.

A place around the corner from my shop quoted me $350 installed for a Sekurit brand (same supplier Porsche uses) windshield including the radio antenna. Cheaper without.

My car has the tiny pits pretty much all over the windshield & nothing on the bumper & hood @ 88k miles. Porsche dealer quoted $600 to replace in 2002. Went to a PCA seminar at same dealers authorized body shop & learned that they had fitment problems with some aftermarket windsheilds. Only other solution I know of is glass polishing kits which you may like since your car is such low mileage. ;)

I just ran a quote for my 2001 with a cracked front windshield and Safelite quoted $360 complete. I wonder if the difference is because of location or area.

You always think paint is soft, especially compared to glass, but it always seems that windshields get far more pitted than the paint on the bumper. Never could quite figure that out!
