My wife had the aftermarket seat heaters put in the Boxster as a birthday present a couple of years ago. Don't know how I survived in the Spring and Fall without them. There were a couple of options which are best chosen by your needs. It seems that the kits can be had as a DIY, but if you have someone else put them in make sure that you trust their work as they are tearing your seats apart and playing with the wiring. As a side note, when they installed them I had them flair the side bolster wings a little and as a big man it is much more comfortable. Ed

Thanks......
There is a local car upholstery place recommended by my Porsche dealer....they use them. this install is with some form of carbon? wires. Supposedly very good. Not cheap - $750 Cdn + taxes. I use the car off and on over the winter. last Christmas I was out in 5'F temps, top down. Just cranked up the heater, gloves and toque on. It was great.
