List of to-do's for 3.6 Boxster

Well, I have had the opportunity to get through the shakedown period with my "new to me" 3.6 Boxster S and I have a list of upgrades and fixes. Overall the car is awesome, there are a few niggly issues that I am sorting out. This is what I am planning on doing in the next few months.

1. Zeintop
2. Rebuild gearbox, second gear is a bit crunchy, the box has 95k miles on it, add LSD
3. Replace IMS bearing, while I am in there
4. Install Sachs 911 spring clutch to reduce vibrations/harmonics from single mass flywheel
5. Reflash DE with stock curves to smooth out vario cam in low rev, high torque situations
6. Coilovers with adjustable GT3 toelinks
7. 18" wheels and Falken tires
8. SS headers and exhaust

By the time these are done I will have a whole new list I am sure.

That's the kind of list I wish I had! :D

I'm stuck sorting through CEL's the PO decided to ignore for the past couple of years. I think I'm down to my last one though. So soon after, I'll be able to spend a little time and money on "fun" stuff.

I have those too don't worry.

Intermittent after cat O2 sensor code, since there are no cats it is simple enough to figure out.

I found out the DE is running X-51 curves for a 3.8, it does not have a 3.8 so I am going back to the normal 3.6 curves. This should help the engine run a bit smoother through the rev range for better drivability.

Right now it is like flipping a switch when you hit 3k rpms but below 3k it is a bit soft, I get strange harmonics so the sprung clutch is going in as well.

I could easily spend the purchase price of the car on upgrades and will eventually but these are my priorities at the moment.

one foot in front of the other.

I don't see big brakes on the list...Have you upgraded already?

It has "S" brakes which I am replacing the discs and going with pagid blues but I have not researched big brake packages yet. I have a feeling it will make the next list.
