Dump it and cut your losses. '97s aren't worth squat, certainly not worth putting a new motor in.

stateofidleness 01-30-2010 09:12 PM

well don't make it hard for the people that you are asking help from... it kinda puts them off and promotes the "next thread" attitude from most ;)

a Phd and degree from Cal Berkeley (which you spelled wrong as well. who spells their own school wrong??) and you're getting grammar lessons from someone without a Bachelor's degree... says a lot I suppose...

your post deserves an equivalent response: "get a new motor"

Brucelee 01-31-2010 05:26 AM

Yes a new motor would be in order. An attitude adjustment wouldn't hurt either.

:D

I'd bet it's the end of the line for this thread! :p

The damage may be repairable. Have someone with some sense have a look at it.

Don't throw the car away, the 97s seem to be the best built of all Boxsters.

Options, none good.

Ouch!

Being a certified member of the "grammar police" I am loving this thread.

At least the OP did not use the wordette "prolly", that one gets my goat every time.

Spelling matters, grammar matters as both are directly related to Karma.

Exactly. If somone wants a decent answer, they should take the time to type a decent question in a clear, readable fashion. Nobody spells their school wrong. If this guy has a Ph.d from Berkeley I'm Michael Schumacher.
