Dash Light Problem with pictures
I have a 99 Boxster that sat for about 3 months and the battery completely died. After a good charge, it started fine but the dash lights where the Clock and Oil Level gauge is located now has a strange starburst light over the clock and oil level lights. You can see the clock and oil level in the background but the strange pattern of lights is sort of on top of the others. The lights were fine before the battery died. Any ideas? Thank you!

Given that this is the second time you've posted this with no reply - I'm guessing nobody has seen this before. Can you post a photo of it?

Yup, we need pix. I bet you'll get some help if you can show us what it looks like.
Might be one of the lamps has popped out of the socket. |
Friend, you're gonna have to do better than that with the photography! Both pix are so blurry I can't see what you're talking about.
Any way to get sharper pictures? |
It's hard to see with the camera shake, but that looks like a cracked LCD to me. I'm not sure how that would happen though - rapid temperature change?
I'm not sure if you can just replace the LCD, or (more likely) you would need a whole new gauge cluster. :( -james |
+1 looks cracked. esp since you can see part of a number. but then again those are some ****************ty pics.
