CEL code explaination needed

This past week I changed my MY98 single tip muffler for a MY00 dual tip muffler (used). I removed the exhaust system at the flanged header joints, so the cats and 02 sensors came off with the muffler. Disassembled the single tip muffler and installed the dual tip muffler, then reinstalled the complete assembly.
After driving a few miles the CEL came on. I plugged in my Durametric and got the following codes……
P0154 Porsche fault code 18 – 02 sensor ahead of cat. conv. bank2
P1130 Porsche fault code 361 – Oxygen sensing adaptation idle range bank 2 exceeds limit value

Question: Are these codes indicating one of my pre cat 02 sensors have failed?
And is bank 2 the right (1-3-5) or left (2-4-6) side of the engine?

Any other information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

DTC No. P0154
Fault conditions :
Open circuit in signal wire or ground wire
Oxygen sensor heating not functioning
Output stage in DME control module faulty
Internal resistance too high

Fault area:
– Wiring harness
– Oxygen sensor
– DME control module

The P1130 code looks like it's set if the O2 sensing for that bank is not working. Investigate the Bank 2 O2 sensor first and then if that's fixed, the P1130 should go away.

Paul,

Which side of the engine is bank 2? The right side (1-3-5) or left side (2-4-6)?

Thanks

Bank 1 always has the #1 cylinder in it. So, Bank 2 is the left side (when facing the car from the rear).
