Parts advice
So many places to get Porsche Parts!! Would appreciate advice from the friendly and knowledgeable folks here on the forum for the best parts suppliers you have used (i.e. everything from small DIY parts to the larger stuff). Thanks.

Dealers Sunset and Suncoast both offer good prices and service. Pelican Parts is also good with an excellent informative website. Automotion is another good source.
There are many others that specialize in niche markets like Eric at Bumperplugs.com or Boothe Design. Charles at LN Engineering and and Jake at Flat6Innovations offer some valuable parts for engine care and longevity such as the spin on oil filter . Google them both. My advice is to concentrate on taking care of the engine BEFORE adding any parts that claim to increase hp or torque. Most don't do much anyway. You can pick up a lot of advice just reading a lot of posts and I hit a variety of sites like RennTech and Planet-9.com (the former CaymanClub). |
Thanks 70Sixter for the advice.
Just wanting trusted parts for DIY maintenace. Not into "performance enhancing". You post lots of good info and these suggestions are great places for me to start. |
Sunset and Suncoast are where I've bought the majority of my parts, never had any problems with either.

I buy almost exclusively from Pelican...Wayne does the utmost to support the Porsche community and is releasing a new "101 Projects for Your Boxster" book.
He may not always be the least expensive, but customer service is way beyond most. Of course, I bought all my update parts from LN Engineering. |
Ditto on all the suppliers mentioned above, but I have also had excellent service and pricing from:
www.************************************************************ |
I use drivewire.com they have a lot of good OEM parts at great prices. Ive gotten 2 o2 sensors and a mass airflow sensor from them and no complaints here. Also check out superbrightleds.com for lighting accessories those are just some of the places i have book marked if your looking for used parts then try ladismantlers .com its a porsche graveyard

Many thanks to all who have replied. All good suggestions.

Besides those already listed, I've been extremely happy with http://www.rockauto.com for my Boxster, Toyota, and Honda parts. Super fast on shipping and core refund.
|
Always always always www.************************************************************ first before anyone else. Best pricing and service I've had.
Then Sunset Imports. Followed by Suncoast Motorsports. |
