What model yr do you have? The exhaust diagram you show is for the 2005+ 987 boxsters. The pre-2005 986 models have a different set up.

Also, banks 1-3 are on the passenger side if I'm not mistaken, so I'm not sure why you're getting an 1128 if your leak is on the driver's side. I'm no expert though.

oh! i have a '00 tiptronic non-S

i hear the pinging on the driver's side when I'm in/out of the cabin
i don't know if the two issues are related so i'm not sure if the code being thrown is actually due to the exhaust leak, but was wondering if fixing the exhaust leak would fix the lean issue
