Do you mean "Litronic" headlights? If so, they are pretty much a direct replacement for your headlamp assemblies

i thought someone would have to ride on the hood and hit the left headlight to downshift and the right to upshift. sorry, couldn't resist.

pelican has a write-up.

Suncoast sells new litronics for $2700. Unfortunately the days of $1200 group buys are long since gone. Used litronics are often for sale on Ebay and 6speedonline, with a typical price range of $800 - $1000+. When buying used, the lights usually do not come with the (optional) litronic control module.

Many of us simply pull out the halogens and slide in litronics. They work fine as a direct swap. One feature you lose without the Porsche control module is xenon pivot on high beams. For a full installation including the control module, the Pelican Parts reference is a good one. Porsche also has a retrofit technical bulletin which you can find on renntech.

For your 99 model year, you can buy any model year Boxster litronics up thru 2004. Carrera litronics in model year 99-2001 will also fit because they are the same headlights. Oh, and if you're gonna be a Porsche Baller, you should at least know how to spell BoxSter.
