What runs in the aluminum tube behind the headlights?

I am a new owner of a 97 Boxster and was replacing the headlights with Sylvania Cool Blue lights for HID look (Waste of time, they do not look any different) and noticed that some of the aluminum tubing is damaged on the passenger side directly behind the headlight housing. Nothing is leaking at this point but it is cracked and I am not sure which lines they are. Both sides have them and I could follow them along the inside of the fenders and then they both drop down below the headlights and in towards the bumper. After that I am not sure where they go. If anyone knows what they are and how to repair them I would greatly appreciate your input.

I am starting to think it is a line that runs to the coolant radiators up front. Can anyone confirm this ? If so, is there a way to repair these without replacing the entire line. It looks like it was bent but is not leaking at this point.
