temperature control led

its a minor issue but i figured i would ask you guys first.

on my temperature reading, i just came back from the beach and i think the hot humid salty air got to my temperature value. a small part of the number 6, does not light up. in other words the bottom corner of the number is dark. hope that makes any sense.

i know this is minor but it annoys me! haha. is there anything i can do to fix it or do i simply have to buy a new unit?

thanks in advance.

That link doesn't quite work right, but if you click the rebuild services link at the top of the screen, it will get you to the right place. Cool tip LB, hopefully I won't need it anytime soon. :)

Replacing the LED is pretty simple. Took about 1 hour start to finsh. Module Master cost af $60 with S/H.

I got mine off Ebay about a year ago. I think I paid around $54 total. Looks great. Was not too tough to put in and I am mechanically challenged. Just one thing though. There are several minor typos in the instructions. For example at one point it says you need a Phillips screw driver when in fact the unit has Torx screws.
