break pedal sounds like a spring is going to break

I'm hoping someone can validate if this is normal or not? My 07 boxster break pedal makes a slight creaking noise when you depress the pedal. I've taken it into the dealership and they've tried to spray the pinion and to adjust it, however it still makes a creaking sound like a spring is going to break or maybe more like the creaking sound a door hinge makes when it needs lubricant. It has been sprayed, but the noise remains.

Any ideas if this is normal or something more going on here that the dealership should pay attention to?

Thanks much.

Maybe #9?... power clutch spring. (1st time trying to attach... not sure via preview if it worked).

Thanks BX44

Part #9 looks to be it, however you say it's for a power clutch and my problem is with the break pedal. My gut tells me it is something very similar to that.

sorry - misread on my part. I assume the dealer isolated the noise - either in the cabin pedal area or up front with the brake boost.

good luck,

Inspect all the bushings (#6, #11) and grease the pin (#14) and the Bolt (#12).

Use grease, not a spray lubricant. These, such as WD40 are only temporary fixes as it will mostly evaporate over time.
