litronic light bulbs

Ok, one of my lits was flickering this morning then stopped working. I am assuming that the bulb needs to be replaced, I have yet to replace one of these as I recently swapped out halogens. So, my question is; anything I should look out for while changing bulbs? and what type of bulb do i need? Thanks Jim

Jim, it's Rich from PPBB. The bulb is a Philips number 85123 bulb. Suncoast sells them for $160. The bulbs tend to last forever though, so before you plunk down money to replace it, I would first check your connections. It is easy to swap out the bulb from one headlight to the other, to see if it really is the bulb that failed. If the bulb is good, then check to make sure that the electrical contact for the headlight mate securely to the plug located on the arm inside the housing. Also, flickering bulbs sometimes means that your headlight switch is on the fritz.

Here is the bulb that you can order from Suncoast if it truly is the bulb that failed.

You need a Philips D2S bulb. Just make sure you don't touch the filament with your fingers.
