K&N Air Filters in a '07 Boxster S. Is it a powerboost?
Hi there.
As I said in the title I'm wondering if this is feasible? I have a 2007 Boxster S that I'm extremely pleased with but one always wants more power and this is an easy way to boost the power up just a little bit on some machines. Has anyone tried this? Does installing a different air filter then the original affect the warranty? Best regards from Iceland, Jon. |

Search this forum and you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about air filters and more --- especially K&N!! |
Just FYI the K&N is a pain to install the way it is molded. Took me an hour to get it in correctly. Also the only HP difference was from the fact the stock filter was way past its prime and loaded with dirt. I only got it because the stock paper filter is still expensive for the 987's. Plugs were hard enough to find as well!

As JFP said some people have experienced MAF problems. Possibly from excess oiling of the filter.
