2006 Box. S upgrades

I am very seriously looking at a 2006 Box. S red/tan with 23K miles on it. I have searched this forum quite a bit trying to find out about upgrades but it seems most of the topics pertain primarily to the 986 model. I realize this is opening a whole can of worms thats proabably already been answered but while searching i didn't see a whole of info primarily on the 987. So I thought it might be interesting to start a 987 mod thread in general.
This car will get driven primarily on the road but also on the track. I was thinking of going with a
1. complete fabspeed exhaust system( headers w/sport cats, and rear box).
2. Evo air filter
3. B&M or maybe a porsche short shift kit.
4.GT2 brake ducts
5. suspension?
6. brakes?
I was wondering what your opinions of these components were on the 987 S?
Also what would be the best option for suspension and brake upgrades?
I thought that the porsche M030 was only for the 986, so is there another aftermarket company that makes a good suspension upgrade kit for the 987 S that won't be too hard for the road?
As for brakes there are the Brembo upgrades, but they really don't seem much different than the stock S brakes, and are heavier. Has anyone retro fitted ceramic brakes or say 997 S brakes onto the Boxster ?
Thanks a bunch....

There is a lot of good information on this board but you might want to try the following site as well? I believe they might be a little more focused on the 987 than this site?

Sorry BruceLee, just trying to help a fellow Porsche owner out...

The 987 is so good and so well balanced already in acceleration, cornering, transitions, braking, that I am not sure any of those mods would make it more track capable... and it might be slower. I suggest drive the snot out of it for one year. Choose your mods after you get some seat time at the track.

Spend some time in the seat and good instruction on track driving.
Unless you are experienced in driving on the track in that car, the car is well beyond your abilities in stock form.
