Boxster With A Turbo? Turbo Kits?

I have a 1998 Porsche Boxster, and i am looking for a Turbo kit for it. I have searched the internet for one but i haven't found anything. Does anyone know of a web site that sells turbos for Boxsters? Or does any one have a Boxster witha a Turbo?

Do a search here on Turbo or Twin Turbo. There are recent posts on this subject.

Welcome to our site!

Oh man, way to bring up an age old argument.

Trent Carter, do a google search on his name, you'll get all the forced induction demons out of your head real fast. Its a question of compression, and the boxster already has EXTREMELY high compression.

If that's your deal, and you have lots of $$$ to spend on it, be prepared for a long, long road. Its much cheaper, and MUCH more reliable, to switch out your engine for a 3.4 liter or a 3.6 liter.

Select Porsche, Boxster then Engine Performance. Click on the last 2 performance options.

Good stuff. Is it me or does it seem like a Turbo add on should produce more HP than these are? For some reason, I am thinking a Turbo is worth 75-100HP. Am I off base here?

If what Subanez says is accurate, that the Boxster engine already has a high compression ratio, then limiting the output would be the only way, short of lowering the base compression ($$$) would be the only way to add this type of upgrade. And I agree for the money, you'd think 75-100 hp would be the mark. Must be why there ain't too many turbo kits for our cars

Tubo's

Neil @ Orton knows his stuff. There has been much discussuion on other boards as well about turbo's. The 2.7 kit yields 310-320h.p. not bad. Remember these are low boost set ups using dual turbo's (and a large intercooler) and well over 20k...not exactly a TPC supercharger kit. The Orton sourced kit is serious business, but very pricey. I like the idea of a turbo kit better than an engine swap but the price is out there but may come down in the future who knows. I think 12-15k is reasonable.........c'mon Neil cut us a deal!!!

Here ya go. I think the 2.5L turbo kit is on the site somewhere. 390hp on the 3.2L turbo. 130-140 hp gain. I can always dream lol.
