Bentley service Manuel

Save your money, other than very basic information, and I do mean basic, this manuel is not worth the money. It does not go into any detail of any major repairs.

Sorry, gotta disagree.

For $63 + Free S/H - Bentley Boxster Manual It can save an owner literally thousands $$ in breaking down many procedures the avg. guy can do themselves.

I have the Factory Manuals (all 15 of them), the Factory repair manual, the PET and all the TSB's. But, I still use the Bentley as an easy to use resource. The factory manuals are not as easy to work with, even though they may have more thorough info.

I highly recommend the Bentley, but be aware that they only cover the 986 - ('97-'04).

Well for general information and simple task maybee so, but I Iam looking for more detailed information, do you know where I can find a factory manuel for the 986 other than the stealership?

I disagree as well, it's handy as hell. It covers a good many things you can do in your home garage. It's a quick reference guide.

It has all of the wiring diagrams. That is almost priceless when working on a car oneself.

Mechanically, it gives a good overview of what steps need taken for a job. It doesn't spell out every bolt, but for most people, that amount of detail is not needed.

The Bentley book and a Durametric are a must for anyone who wants to work on the Boxster themselves instead of going to the dealer for repairs.

TSBs?

Lil Bastard,
Where do you get the TSBs?

The Bentley doesn't cover oil changes, etc. as well as some online sites with multiple pictures, but for everything else it is a great resource. It was a huge help when I needed the wiring diagram to do the intermittent wiper hack, and when I had to removed my passenger seat. For $63 it's worth getting, even if you only use it occasionally.
