Increased road noise on my 2003 Boxster

Recently I have noticed that the noise inside the car has increased when I am driving. I had the tires rebalanced and checked for nails and it still persist. Any idea of what is causing this?

Some tires will get louder as they wear. Somtimes its uneven wear caused by your alignment, and sometimes its just the tire design. Check TireRack and see if that is a common problem with the tires you are running.

Tommy is dead on. +1 on tires.

What brand do you have?

I took my Michellin's right to 20,000 miles before replacing, and never had increased tires noise.

I got the answer to my boxster problem. I took my car to a very reputable Porsche mechanic and determined the problem to be a bad rear bearing.
