Thinking of getting a 2000-2002 tiptronic, any issues?

Hi. I'm thinking of getting a 2000-2002 tiptronic. I do a lot of DIY stuff on my other cars (thermostat, water pump, suspension), so, looking at some DIYs on here, things seem pretty do-able. But are there any known, fundamental problems with these cars? I read about the RMS leak and that sounds pretty bad (hard to fix for a DIYer), but, based on the poll, it doesn't seem to common. Any other major issues? Any help is appreciated.
