Wheel Question

Hello,
I'm looking for some new wheels for my '00 Boxster S, specifically a set of Carrera Lightweights from a '02 996.

The wheel size is 18x8 et 50 for the fronts, and 18x10 et 65 for the rears.

The tires on there are front: 245/35/ZR18 and rear: 285/30/ZR18

What are your opinions? Will these fit without sticking out? Will they fit at all? What size spacer will I need for the rear?

Thanks,
Eric

I believe you need 15mm spacers on the rear to make 'em fit

The rears will rub your struts unless you run at least a 15mm spacer, but I would recommend something more like 24mm... it will give you more room to play with and look better (fills out the wheel wells better).

You won't like running that wide a spacer on the back rims. Makes any tiny imbalance in the wheel feel horrible with body shake on the freeway.

Consider buying aftermarket carrera wheels from wheeldynamics.com

Great company. Great products.

Wrong tire size.
