Door lock reset

I read some of the other posts about door locks and no one seems to have had my problem. My problem is I lifted the door handle up to open the door before I had let the door unlock itself. On most cars thats fine, you just have to hit the lock button again and then unlock again. Not with the Boxster, now it won't open. The window drops like it should and when I hit the key fob button it all seems normal, the locks sound like they should, but it will not open. Also when I try to unlock it manually it activates the locks and sounds like it should have unlocked but it isn't. The passenger door is fine but even if I crawl across and use the inside handle it won't open. Is that normal?
I have read how people took there door panels off etc but that sounds like overkill. Could I really have screwed something up inside or is there some sort of sequence to reset the thing.

Thanks
Clem

Door Lock Problem

I was reading you post regarding your door lock problem. I too have the same problem with my 01 Boxster S.
Did you ever get it fixed and if so what did you do or who did you go to?
I am so frustrated.

Thank you for any info you might provide.

Doug/California
