Low tack black masking tape
Since my box is black and I'm heading to the track for the first time, I thought I'd try to find some low tack black masking tape for the headlamps and keep that stealth fighter look.
I've poked around the web a little and found some black gaffer's tape, but they advertise how well it adheres to carpet and such and I would rather find black painter's tape or something with a far lower tack to use so it will be more easily removed. Anyone have a brand they like and can pass along where they bought it? |
Low tack black masking tape may be found at artist's supply stores.
I used to use it to tape foam-core board sections together for display purposes. It comes off readily leaving no residue. |
Look in photographers supply places as well as art stores. It's generally acid free for mounting prints and so forth.

How about good old Black electrical tape.

I can't recommend a brand of tape, but one thing we do is to first stick the tape to our clothes. The lint etc. the tape picks up reduces the its stickyness.
