Changing brake lines
 

has anyone changed their own brake lines?
I am working on my 120K miles service and already got the lines. after much debating and reading on many posts, I opted with OEM lines manufactured by ATE rather than DOT certified braided steel lines. I have 2 quarts of ATE blue and a motive bleeder. I just have to go ahead and do it.
I have not found much feedback online on this task and I am looking for any advice you guys might have!

Don't see how you can go wrong changing those lines. I'd recommend a so-called flare nut wrench, rather than an open end wrench, so you don't strip the hex when torquing the connectors.

I'm about to buy a Motive Bleeder (probably like yours) and to a complete brake fluid flush. I'll be interested in hearing how well you did with this tool as a first time user.

Thanks Bobiam! I will let you know about my experience with the Motive.

As far as the lines are concerned I looked at them closely while I had the tires off yesterday to change the spark plugs and I am just puzzled about accessing the Hex as it is encased in a bracket. I will post a pic to illustrate what I mean.
