Suspension Upgrade

I am considering a suspension upgrade to my 2000 Boxster S with 18” rims and less than 20K miles. I feel that the stock struts are a little soft on rebound and give me an uneasy feeling when the car gets un-weighted. If I upgrade to Bilstein HD struts will it improve handling without degrading the ride significantly? I have searched several of the boards without getting an answer.
Thanks for your help.

The Bilstein HD shocks are comparable to the OEM stocks. You probably would want to go with the Bilstein Sport shocks.

As I understand, the Sport version are only used with shorter springs but have the same valving as the HD. Do you have them on your car?
Thanks,
Rich

Sanivor, I have had them on my car but as you stated I also did have lowering springs.

I've also had the PSS9s before and they are GREAT! You can completely adjust the harshness if its not something you like. They run very smooth as well.

My PSS9's on their softest setting are not that much stiffer than stock plus the ride height is adjustable which makes a huge difference in appearance, and the stiffness is adjustable should you want to firm things up for some spirited driving.
