stiff clutch?

Any ideas how to make the clutch pedal easier, I read about changing the clutch booster spring, if it is a good idea how do I change it? Oh yeah my ride is a 99

Is this the original clutch. How many miles on the present clutch.

A stiff pedal can be a sign of a worn clutch my workshop told me.
I did the change my self and voila the pedal was a bit softer again. So this time they where right at least.

A stiff pedal is a sign of a worn clutch. My 1997 with 67,000 miles on the original clutch almost took 2 feet to push the pedal down. Clutch was worn down to the rivets. With the new clutch I can press the pedal down with my thumb.

Some get more miles than I did. Some get less. Depends on how the car is driven.

I would say you are due for a clutch replacement. Bring it by a shop and have it checked out.
