New Rotating Sound
Cars info; 01' 986 S,6-spd,56k
Yesterday while driving I noticed a new sound. It sounds like a wheel bearing issue almost but there isn't any other symptoms of a wheel bearing failure(I've had the front passenger one go out). The sound is the same no matter which way I turn, how hard I brake, it just speeds up according to speed. Also, the car feels normal,I can't feel anything from it when driving. Anyone have any ideas? I know it's coming from the driver side. If you need any other info let me know and I will post the answer. |
Blink, could be something as simple as a small stone/rock stuck somewhere on the wheel/rotor.

I just got done R & R the front driver wheel. I found the rotor screws completely loose. I will drive the car this evening to find that hopefully the sound is gone.

I fixed it. The driver side e-brake cable that leads from the hand brake in the interior was rubbing up against the wheel and tire.....Guess 18x10" w/ 47mm offset w/ 275 tires doesn't leave much space.
