Oil change intervals?

Porsche's official oil change interval per the owners manual and the Bentley's service manual is 15,000 miles. It's the same on my BMW as well.

That being said, for a daily driver I would also be more comfortable with a 7,500 to 10,000 mile interval. I only do about 2,000 miles a year on mine so it's a not an issue for me. I change my oil once a year. But now that I've started doing DE events I guess I will be changing it more than once a year.

For the 2008 Boxster, Porsche lowered the interval to 12,000 miles (for the 911 too). I find this interesting.

Still 9-10 quarts of oil.
Still synthetic oil.
Still Mobil 1
