Please help. memory seats on my 99 Boxster is not working

Hi,

I can't find any information on how to go and fix memory seat problems. I have 99 Boxster with less than 50K miles. From what I recall, to program the seat position, I just need to press M with any of the three numbers for longer than 5 secs, it should store the current seat position, but it doesn't. I tested by moving the seats forward, and press the same number I supposedly programmed, the seat is not moving at all. Like I said I can still adjust the seat forward and everything else, just can 't store the current position.

I am not sure when it stops working, since I don't use it much. This is mainly my weekend car, and I have been the only driver.

Can someone give me some pointers and tips on how to troubleshoot and find more information about it?

thanks ahead
