Rear drop link replacement

I'm trying to replace my rear drop links and I am having trouble removing the top of the link from the strut carrier. After removing the nut is the link supposed to just pull out of the bolt hole? I suspect it is and mine are frozen- just like everything else that is attached to that hunk of aluminum. I haven't tried too much heat yet because of the brake lines and ABS wiring that is close by.
As always, any advice is appreciated.
Regards,
mike

Assuming you have the car up on jackstands and the wheel is off, I would spray the bolt liberally with penetrating oil (i.e. not WD-40). Something along the lines of P'Blaster, Kroil, or something similar.

After a few applications of that, a few taps using a drift and a hammer of decent mass should pop it right off. I typically use a large punch, but a 3/8" drive ratchet extention should work as well. Wear safety glasses.
