Headlight bulb

What bulb type is used for 1998 boxster 2.7?

H7 go with the silverstars.

Er... the '98's were 2.5 Ltr. displacement, not 2.7 - FYI.

H7 is the size. Silverstars look cooler, cost twice+ as much, and last half as long.

If you're in an urban setting, you only gain the 'look', they're no more effective.

If you do a lot of rural driving on poorly lit secondary highways and roads, they are slightly more effective. They are really hyped by the manufacturer and sellers.

If you decide to make the switch, you'll need to replace them both at the same time.

The most cost effective upgrade is the Phillips H7 Xenon +50% - only a couple bucks more than OEM.
