Sound Driving Me Carzy!!! :(
Alright, there is a sound coming from the rear passenger side. It is a constant Whum-Whum-Whum sound. The faster you go the faster the sound gets.
I checked out the other forums and i thought it may be the tires. So i replaced all four and the sound is still there? Is there a way to find out if its Bearings or track arms? Is there any other opinions of what it may be? Thanks... ;) |
CV joint. How do the boots look on the cv joints? Torn?

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me.

i agree with jay. still, check your CV boots to make sure none are ripped.

just had this same sound on my 98 and it was a combination of the wheel bearing failure which also spun in the wheel hub requiring replacement of both.

Wheel Bearing
Just had a wheel bearing replaced on my 2004 Boxster. Sounds like the same problem. My factory warranty covered it.

You Guys Are Dead On...
It was the bearing, i got it replaced and it sounds PERFECT! Luckily i didnt have to replace the Hub with it. Thanks for the advice! :D |
