The Starter would explain none of the other symptoms. What might explain it would be if something is amiss in the black box under your seat which controls all the security stuff. If that for instance gets soaked from a leak it can get really weird (reach down and see if it’s wet).

Your starter may or may not be related, bad ground strap maybe. Try running your negative lead from your jump straight back and clip it to the block right next to the starter.

P.S. Make sure your battery terminals are not corroded, if so rough up the post and the clamps with some coarse sandpaper...hey my cars black to...
