Swapping plastic top to window

Will a top with the glass window with a boxster with the plastic rear window?

Yoslack 09-29-2004 07:06 AM

oops I meant will a top with the glass window fit a boxster with the plastic rear window or will it be better for me to just replace the rear windows, just looks like the covertible top is ready to be replaced?

The frame on a glass top is different than a plastic window frame. Since the frame alone is over $6,000 no one has retrofitted the glass top.

I'd love to see pics!

 Picture of what? The difference in frames? Tool Pants (Very knowledgeable and a vast number of contacts) said this has not been done to anyones knowledge because the conversion is in excess of $6K.
:) Best intentions.

There were some posts deleted, as another member works/owns a company in the UK that had developed a glass window replacement top for the plastic window tops.

Looking at the thread now, it makes no sense without the deleted posts.

You are right. I had to delete that post and have invited this vendor place an ad with us.

Hopefully, he will follow through.
