Ok so has anyone out there actually replaced the Boxster Conv. Top themselves? Very hard to do? Some what difficult? Recommend dealer/ pro only? My canvas material is great looks good & no leaks what so ever. Its just the OE plastic window, that looks like
. Got a quote from a local reputable upholstery shop, which has experience redoing Conv. tops of all sorts. They quoted 9hrs @ $70/hr to remove and replace with a new top. Another shop said that they could remove the old plastic window and sew in a new one using the original top. But could not guarantee against any leaks etc. @ a cost of $495. I have thought of upgrading to the GAHH glass top, but for the cost of this upgrade I think I would want to the Remove and Install myself. Anybody have experience in this matter.
