Davesher, I know how you feel I'm having the exact same problem. At the moment I have resorted to using the key in the door lock, but I know how annoying it is having to put the key in the ignition and turn it to de-activate the alarm just so you can get into the boot.

I wish I knew how to fix it but I think the only solution is a new key from Porsche.

Thanks boxster or briefs. I gave that a try but still no joy. This is cracking me up!! How can there be so many of us with the same problem? I will keep checking back here for any more ideas. Thanks guys, Im just going to have to keep messing about with it in the hope that I fluke it.

Did you drop by the parts or service dept of the local P dealer? These guys sometimes have the dark knowledge we all seek and if asked nicely, they may share it!
