Radio Not Working only when Car is Running
 

New owner of 99 Boxster. The radio works fine when the car is off. Even when I turn the ignition switch. However as soon as I turn the car on the radio shuts off and will not work.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try turning back the ignition key slightly, it could be a bad ignition switch.

Tried doing that with no success. As I read the previous threads on ignition switch. No other symptons as others have had.

More insight.

The radio will work when the key is in every position as long as the engine is off. As soon as the engine starts, radio stays on for about a second and then shuts off and will not work as long as engine is running.

No one else with similar issue?
