Squeak / Whistle from passenger side vent

My new (to me) Boxster S is giving me an annoying little issue, an intermittent whistle from the passenger side vent. Is this a common issue, does anyone out there know where to start diagnosing?

could be coming from the hole in the gas cap compartment. try taping over the hole and see if the sound goes away.
