air intake :is it worth it

i have been considering the evo intake for my s but i am concerned with other problems that i do not know about.please tell if its ok to get one or not and what is your feedback if you have one.

I'm happy with mine. Be sure not to over oil the air filter.

They may be worth the money, but they are not easy to install, unless you destroy the current plastic air box that comes with the Porsche, instead of just removing it. Requires removing the left intake manifold to get at the area you need. I would suggest having a pro do it.

I have the Evo intake and it is a great mod. It is difficult to install for sure. The sound it produces under acceleration and the added high end roar is worth the price of install. No problems with CEL in a long while. My MAF is more the cause. The CEL has been off for at least 11 months or so.

You should add an exhaust upgrade to the mix as well. More intake and more exhaust = More Power!

Go ahead and get one!!

The German brand TTP intake was one of the first mods I did to my car. Like the others have said, you have to love the sound.

only sound, no power gains probably.
and u will have to desnorkel too hehe.

is it worth the high price they charge? prolly not couse u get nothing but sound.

BUT, i love the sound tho.

If you are modding for sound you are better off getting one of those Billy Boat exhausts. A stock Boxster intake is one of the coolest sounds in sports cars.
Be careful of the Ninjas though...they don't like Porsche.
