Advice on buying 2nd hand Boxster - pls

Hi,

Am finally in a position to get a car I've always fancied, but could do with some constructive advice on what to look out for when buying a 2nd hand boxster. Known faults / weaknesses / recall issues / technical issues pertinent to particular production runs / general advice on major service intervals and what they involve (eg timing belts and pulleys / tensioners, water pumps / seals, etc...)

Anyone who has this kind of info readily to hand, and who doesn't mind sharing it, I'd be most grateful for. Specifically related to the 2.5 L variant.

Cheers

Nigel,

Nigel, there is a ton of info here to help you. Just do some searching. These topics have been extensively covered.

Best advice...is to get a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) from a Porsche dealership or an excellent independant shop.

Lucky mentioned Mike Focke already. Search this site for member RandallNeighbor. His signature block has great stuff also.
