There are indeed tire threads on this forum. Lots of them. Some contain heated debates, much like the threads concerning oil types and viscosity requirements for our cars.

Personally, I like my Michelin PS2's. I have put cheap tires on my boxster and found the Sumitomo HRTZII to be good cheap tires.

No tire lasts long on the back rims... 10k max on any brand I've tried. The camber settings just eat them up quickly. Of course, the camber setting also give our cars incredible grip too, so that's the trade off.
