HP limits for boxter transmissions, what are they?

Hi all,

Does anyone know what the power and torque limits are for the boxter and boxter S transmissions?

I am after a gearbox that can handle around 450rwhp, so thats probably around 530-550 at the crank. I was looking at the G50 or a 930 box, but there are advantages like price, size and weight that the boxter transmission has going for it.

Cheers,
Ian Swinkels.

The boxster S uses the same 6 speed as the 911 so it could definately handle more than what the stock motor has, but I'm not sure what the limit is. What are you throwing this transmission into?

I don't think he has a boxster. I think he is just looking for a tranny.

Somewhere on the net a long time ago I saw something that had the torque ratings of different transmissions. But I do not remember where.

The Boxster manual transmissions are made by Getrag. Maybe if you ask Getrag they will give you the specs.
