MAF with E Accelerator or without ?

I have a 99 Boxster and it is DTC Coding that the MAF is screwed , so I went in search of a new Mass Air Meter and see that I have the option of getting one with E Accelerator or without it.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is and whether one but not the other is needed for my car?

Please!

Yours is without. The difference is a change of the output signal strength as the model years progressed. Later cars have the e-gas version.

As stated above, all 1997-1999 2.5 Boxstirs have a cable operated throttle. There is just one air flow sensor available for a 2.5.

E-gas/e-accelerator started for model year 2000.
