error codes P1126, P0102
I just bought a 2000 Boxster S with the 3.2L. I had about a week and the cel came on. I took it to the local AutoZone and they read the codes. They gave me the print out showing error code P1126 and P0102. Can anyone tell what they are? I read some other forum and found that the P1126 is most likely the MAF sensor. I can't find anything on the P0102 error.

The person or stealership that sold you the car could have reset the CEL to fool the new buyer and it took a few days for the light to come back on...

Hi,
This is what Randall was nice enough to give to me when I was having CEL issues (re: 02 sensors). http://www.iwantaporsche.net/Boxste...eLightCodes.htm P0102 Mass Air Flow Sensor - Below Lower Limit P1126 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Rich Threshold Good luck. Hope this helps and keep us posted. |
I just got P1126 and P1133 myself. Look at http://mike.focke.googlepages.com/checkenginelightcausedbymassairflowsensor
I pulled the plug and the MAF and ran it hard and no problems occured. I've got a thread 3 or 4 above yours on this issue. Going to claen it first and see if all is OK. |
Replaced MAF Sensor
I got the P1126/P1128 after installing a K&N air filter. Replaced the filter with one from Pepboys and cleaned the MAF. Then I kept getting the P0102 code. I would clear the P0102 and within 30 miles it came back. Today, I replaced the MAF. It cost me $386 at Brandywine Porsche Dealership. My 2001 Boxster is idling smoother and running faster with no hesitation during the 12 miles drive.
