Convertable top cables

Does anyone know where I can find the replacement cables for the top?

Transmission cables or the ones that go from the sides around the windows?

Transmission cables can be purchase from any dealer. I'd recommend buying from Sunset in Oregon (dealer cost plus 10 or 15% I think). Local stealerships will be a LOT more I'm betting.

The thin cables that go on the sides around the windows that stretch over time if the top is down too much for too long are not available from the dealership from what I've researched.

Of course, if this is not accurate information, someone school me on it because I really need the side cables as mine are stretched and it really pisses me off the way I have to fiddle with the sides of the top every time I raise it.

which cables?

I am assuming you are talking about the cables attached to top motor and transmissions. If you own an earlier boxster, you probabally have to upgrade to new transmissions and cables as well as new spacers$$$$$$$$$$. I have replaced these. The transmissions have to be timed to close equally.

Mine is a 2002. I hope that I dont have to replace more than the cables. I did find them at a dealer in Vegas: JPM Porsche Jaguar Parts I got the pair for around $60 with the shipping. My dealer in Palm Beach, FL wanted $75 per cable.
