finally headers with 4 O2 and cats

This would be the perfect headers.....
This is cargraphic's 2005-07 headers.
Now someone needs to make these for the 3.2, 2001-2004

Che can you make this?

James

Those are beautiful. Unfortunately, those are way more than $500....

3500$

But do you think we can convince Che to clone these and make it fit 2000-04?

IF Che can get high quality, high flow cats and copy these well so there are no fitment issues, I"d be very interested.

Good question, why can't an exhaust manufacturer make a 2 bung header for 00-04 986!

Che-

+1 for the 4 bung o2 header. That is one of the main reasons I've been holding back after reading the threads.

Fabspeed makes them for your car. Looks exactly like the Cargraphics. Take a look at the product video on their website. Cost $2,295

http://www.fabspeed.com/Boxster.html

Take a look at their video called " Boxster 986 Maxflo Muffler Explanation" it goes over the whole system from Headers with Sport/Cats to the muffler.

Here is the header for 00-04 boxsters. It appears to have only one bung which is located before the cat. It needs a bung after the cat like the stock manifold. Where would the other 02 sensors go otherwise?

Here's a pic of the fabspeeds maxflo exhaust for 97-04 boxsters. I noticed it has a bung down near the muffler/cat where the 2.5L car originally had one located and one way upstream. How would this work on a 00-04? You'd need an extension cord for your o2 sensors to reach that far back by the muffler no?

Adam,
Yes you would have to lengthen the stock wire. Now here's the problem, I have cat bypass pipes, so no second cat is on my car.

Next and a bigger problem, I have been told by porsche that when you lengthen the wires, you cause an increase in electral resistance, due to the added wire, this will translate into an altered signal to the computer. This may trip a CEL, the computer is looking for gas concentration closer to the headers and without the increased electrical resistance in the wire.

Fab speeds would be ok, but are you going to drill 3000$ of headers and hope that it works, what if it does not , you cant return them.

Somebody here must work for a manufacturing faclity that can make them.

Why don't they make a bung just fore and aft of the cat like the stock setup so you wouldn't have to worry about adding wire and other hassles? I assume there is a good explanation but I can't come up with any.
