Che's products???

Hello all!

I have an 01 Boxster S and I placed an order for Che's headers and exhaust. Has anyone had to modify the headers do to it having just 2 02 bongs instead of 4? Does my car come with 2 bongs or 4?

I dont know if my car is equipped with 4 bongs but i want to make sure since i am taking the car in to do the install of my Evo CAI and headers. Kinda worried now that I made the purchase. PLEASE HELP!

Thanks

Bongs are something you smoke weed out of. Bungs are just aft and fore of the stock manifold on 00+boxsters. Will you need to drill holes? I think you will. You need two holes on each header for the O2 sensors. Will you get a CEL...probably because the O2 sensor will sense too many hydrocarbons/pollution and bingo CEL. Comes with the territory.

Uh... just go outside, look under your car, and count the number of O2 sensors. Is this a trick question?

Che's headers

As I understand == from Bisimoto == you have to drill and weld another set of O2 sensor bungs. Almost ant muffler shop can do this for a reasonable price.
As said before, the computer will probably show a CEL because of the emissions check -- but maybe not. I plan to do Che's headers as soon as Bisimoto has time to do the Dyno test on his car with the headers.

If you get your system installed first and can get a before and after Dyno, we would all appreciate knowing the results and what difficulties you encounter during the installation process.

Take care,

Ed

Aftermarket exhaust recomendation

Hello. Sorry if I am not in the right place, I am new. Does anyone have any suggestions for aftermarket exhausts for a daily driver? Thanks!

Marco, if my boxster was a daily driver I would not buy any aftermarket muffler that had two chambers. These all have resonance (loud howling noises that are deafening and women riding with you will absolutely HATE the sound) between 2-3k rpm.

Look for a single chamber aftermarket muffler that guarantees no resonance, and then get the headers from the same manufacturer and you'll love the growl coming from your Pcar afterwards.

This ain't cheap though. You'll gain about 12-18 hp and good sound for $1500.
