why all the performance parts for a 2.5?

I've noticed lately while searching for parts for my 2.7 that they make alot more aftermarket for the 2.5. Superchargers and twin turbo chargers but, all of them say they won't fit the 2.7 and 3.2. Why is this and why not the parts for the larger engine?

The small engine is pretty gutless.

Perhaps that is the motivator.
