litronics bulb

I have a set of litronics. My buddy was telling me to upgrade to a higher grade bulb, witch will give it a brighter and bluer glow (no not like the cheap rice rockets) but more like the Audi blue glow on their HID's I wonder if anyone has tried this on the litronics

Don't waste your time. Factory litronics will, most likely, be superior to any aftermarket lamp you put in there. And enlighten* your buddy that bluer does not = brighter, it actually has poorer performance.

*nice pun, huh?

He is referring to the higher color temperate HID capsules. Factory is 4300K. You can get 6000K which is far more blue, but it is does make for less light on the road (measured in lumens). Anything beyond 6000K is simply a coated (painted) capsule, and SIGNIFICANTLY reduces light output. I'd remotely consider 6000K as it is nice to drive with (lights up road signs and lines great and does look completely like daylight) and does have the cool bling factor, but would never consider the 8000K or 10000K capsules as the useable light on the road is almost zero.

If you want the best night vision, stick with 4300K capsules.
